Inscriber CG Supreme (CG/S) CG Supreme is the world’s best broadcast-quality 32-bit online character generator for the Windows NT 4.0 platform. is an integrated environment for character generation and event sequencing in online and post-production suites. CG/S consists of four modules, integrated in a seamless working environment, that provide you with the tools to create professional-looking titles in a broadcast-ready environment. Visual thumbnails and continuous live update features let you keep track of your work. Titles created by CG/S can be keyed over video in a "live" environment using a third party video frame buffer. CG/S is a 32-bit application that runs under Windows 95 and Windows NT. Not all frame buffers are supported in both operating systems.
The four CG/S modules are CG, Frame Grab, Logo Compose, and Sequencer:
CG is a full-featured character generator that lets you create layouts for stills, rolls, crawls, and reveals for display to video. It offers extensive typographic and color controls for design flexibility, producing text characters that are always fully anti-aliased and broadcast quality.
Frame Grab is a facility that lets you capture a single frame or field from an incoming video signal and save it as a still image. Frame Grab includes special tools for cropping ragged edges from an image, filters that can be applied to the image, and methods for saving the image as a bitmap file. Not all frame buffers support file functions.
Logo Compose is a logo editor that lets you edit any bitmap image with alpha and save it as an Inscriber format logo. It offers logo editing tools that can create color or monochrome logos, and save logos as 32-bit images.
Sequencer manages and controls all online activity, including takes, transitions, trigger information, and board assignment information. It allows you to output your work directly to video.

Networked Solution
In a networked environment, Supreme lets your operators collaborate by sharing graphics files created with graphics programs such as Photoshop and 3DStudio. Files created with Supreme can also be shared with other 32-bit Inscriber products using the common Inscriber job file format. In addition, you can operate Supreme as a standalone CG on a standard Pentium-based NT workstation with supported frame buffer.

purchase), and the font browser tool allows you to view a
sample of all available fonts.
Supreme’s color picker displays RGB, HLS, and HSV color models and lets you choose from 16.8 million colors plus 256 levels of transparency for both text and draw objects. In addition, you can tint imported graphics, and the color blend tool enables angled blends and variable transitions between colors.
Event Sequencer with Transitions
If you are creating titles for online broadcast, the Supreme sequencer makes job organization simple and easy. Every title you create appears in a graphical job strip that shows a thumbnail view of each layout.Every item that appears in your job strip also appears as an event in the sequencer, where you can set specific triggers, timing, and transition effects such as cuts, dissolves, tiles, wipes, and louvers. Events can be triggered via SMPTE/EBU time code, GPI, time of day, or manual keyboard control. You can set in points, out points, and durations for each item in the event list.
Easy to Use
Supreme gives you instant feedback on your video monitor as you make changes to a layout for true WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) operation. All controls are handily placed on a series of tabbed dialogs that never overlap your workspace, and the windows and toolbars are dockable for maximum customization.
